Front comparison and brake duct treatment
Curious that Renault was doing the matte paint before it was "cool" but now they don't anymore.Blackout wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 07:26

Not only that, creating an upwash behind the car also will make the diffuser generate more downforce. Anyone have any clear negatives regarding airflow from this endplate solution?
I don't think its gain comes from the angle of the elements itself, but rather it's angle in regards to the vertical elements. It essentially comes down to a more extreme version of what teams started doing last year
Some of the other teams are moving air outwards, which also helps with the expansion at the back. The diffusers aren't only expanding air upwards, but outwards, too.
Looked like a piece of paper flying off.Jerrycobra wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 12:31The car just had a bad DRS failure, the whole flap ripped off the rear wing, thankfully Riccardo was able to keep it off the walls

It looks like the end plate is starting to crack in the second photo in two locations. I haven't seen the DRS failure, but did the end plate come off first?Morteza wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 12:00https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dzwo90pXgAAHK7v.jpg
