Looks like an afternoon long stint part of the programme. Was lapping in 1:25s, now 1:24s after "pitstop".

He'll be in the 23s soon, doing very low 24s since the pitstop.

He's lapping like a metronome this afternoon 24.2 after 24.2

Not sure what tyres that Toro Rosso are on, but they’re consistently 1/2 second quicker than mclaren in the long runs

There's more front end parts coming before raceday, I don't think they're too worried yet. Main thing will be make sure the car responds well to setup changes over the next few days - it was a dog for that last year.

Is it in Melbourne or 2nd week of tests? And just the front wing or few more parts like brake ducts etc as well?

I may be wrong, but I just have a feeling McLaren are working target time. Maybe on the first stint they tell the drivers to do 1:25s

Kvyat is on the C3s, Sainz on the C2s.

Max speeds have been way lower than before and also much lower than the competition.

I think that they are just further into their sim. Sainz is still running, I am expecting that after 2nd pitstop he picks up another second.

Yesterday first stint was 1:26s, second 1:25s with short third stint with 1:24s.
Today first stint is 1:25s, second 1:24s and third ?

Looks like I jynxed it, he pitted.

23 laps on C1s according to a spanish site. As I say very strange low max speeds, 25-30 km/h below his best

Same as yesterday. In this sim he is probably not using DRS and engine is detuned to "race" levels. Probably even tire management.

The footage I've seen of him on Sky shows he isn't using DRS at all.
