Is it me or anyone else also thinks that there is quite a pattern of degrading. Every single team starts with a good time and by the end of the stint, would have lost over 2 seconds. I know the temperatures are not ideal and as Mercedes had reported, they had a lot of cold graining.
Cold graining shouldn't have been a big issue today as track temperature was at over 30 degrees.

Sainz fastest on day 6 of pre-season F1 testing

Carlos Sainz's time from the morning session remained fastest throughout the day as nobody came close to beating the best time so far in testing. Sergio Perez and Sebastian Vettel ended the day second and third quickest.

An interesting stat.

The best time that the Force India did in 2018 Winter testing was, 1m18.967 on a set of HyperSofts and in 2018 Spanish GP qualifying, they did a 1m18.696 on SuperSofts.

The best time that the Racing Point has done so far in 2019 Winter Testing is, 1m17.842 on C5 (which is the equivalent of last year's HyperSoft).

So, 12 months later, on the new set of regulations, with heavier car (increased driver weight), the RP (erstwhile FI), has gained 1.1 seconds.

We don't know that it has, because the tyres are different and so is the track surface itself. Pirelli already said the surface is so much different it's worth a second a lap or more.

I think liberty has genuinely told all the top teams not to show actual qualy pace during test and to mid-field to show qualy pace to even out the time sheet.
This timesheet is simply confusing.

Let me present a different case, where you would observe performance degradation.

The best time that Toro Rosso recorded in 2018 Winter testing was, 1m18.363 on HyperSofts. In 2018 Spanish GP qualifying, it did a 1m18.463 on SuperSofts.

The best time that Toro Rosso has recorded so far in 2019 Winter Testing is, 1m17.637 on C5. So, in this case, Toro Rosso has only gained 7 tenths compared to previous winter testing. If track has evolved by 1 second, then Toro Rosso has lost performance by 3 tenths!

Easy to see that the left suspension broke. The left brake mark is lighter and the car's floor scraped the track.

Edit: I was wrong.

Or the front wing broke and went under the left tire?

But if it's the case from the track, you'd expect it to have less difference on the softer tyres as they just get torn up - which is what's happening on C5's.

That would have been noticed by Vettel that he lost the wing. Also the mark is from tire. And it would fell out in the gravel zone.

The front wing didn't brake.
