There was a huge spark just before it spun, did something break, like Vettel incident??

The wheel fell off to the grass and the floor scraped the tarmac. Even in normal cruising the floor might scrape and spark so its natural it did with one wheel lower.

Oh god... Another day lost. Even if it's Gasly fault or mechanical failure... That will be a hard start of season for RBR... #-o

The only positive is that ToroRosso still running a good amount of km for Honda and 0 issues at the moment... [-o<
Toro Rosso looks more professional

He hit the grass with his left back wheel, so you could say this one is driver error as well. From the onboard the impact looks not that high so may be the chassis is not total loss.

Incoming speculation about the Gasley/Kvyat swap. Pierre has been very expensive this testing season.

Gasly recognizes his guilt. There is not much to say.
The important thing is that Max can run tomorrow..

AMUS:
The Mercedes analysts draw an interim balance: "Red Bull has shown on Wednesday the fastest ever Longrun." Max Verstappen broke the racing simulation, however, due to a slip-up and a gearbox problem after 40 laps. And Mercedes? "We had good and less good long runs, depending on the time of day."

He owned up to and admitted he made a mistake, though it's unfortunate that this happened during performance runs. He also said he honestly thinks he couldn't match Leclerc's pace so the team definitely has their work cut out for them.
All the more reason to ensure no mistakes in testing.

That they are behind Ferrari is clear, but I doubt that by 0.8s like today... The long runs look good, but they need a bit more to be with Ferrari and Merc. Hopefully the new aero package for Melbourne can solve this, and I hope too, no more crashes, please

He ended the day over eight tenths off the pace set by Charles Leclerc. Does he think he was capable of matching the Ferrari driver?

“Honestly no,” he said. “To be fair I think they are really fast, they showed some good pace. But we try to focus on ourselves and not focus too much on the others.

“We have some potential, we tested a lot of things, we have good performance, but we have to work hard as well as they seem really fast.”

In an alternative reality where TR has the same budget than RBR... But then, there is still Newey. :D

At a certain track in certain conditions perhaps over a season I doubt it. Red bull would figure out what tr have done better quickly
