I can see where this is coming from. Last season Vettel needed every point he could get. So sometimes teamorders would've been the best choice. Just like Merc sometimes did. I still think Ferrari should've made a choice to support him instead of leaving Seb and Kimi equal.

This year, LeClerc has to prove himself, so from the current perspective Vettel is their champion of choice. Now, if LeClerc proves to be way better than Vettel, i can imagine that they swap the No.1 status over to LeClerc

Last year Ferrari seemed scared about their past as the team that used the most cold and heartless team orders no matter what.
But that was a long time ago, time to move on from your demons and make decisions based on reasonable logic.

Leclerc's job should be to take away points from Bottas and Hamilton. He is allowed to win only when Vettel can't and should not let Bottas and Hamilton overtake him. He is very young, he can develop as a driver and win a WDC title in 3-4 years...That's the driving recipe that led Ferrari to 5 consecutive WCC and WDC in 2000-2004...1996-1999 Irvine, 2000-2005 Barrichello and 2006-2013 Massa...Different eras different conditions but Mercedes did the same in 2018...

Exactly. If LeClerc delivers at least like Bottas (or is preferably even better) he will be at Ferrari for a long time, just like Verstappen is at RedBull. And this means Seb will sometime in the future call it a day and LeClerc will get his No.1 status, no matter what. How fast this happens depends on how fast LeClerc is. Could be that we see a repeat of Ric/Vet at RedBull, where Vettel lost some of his confidence (and thus speed) and Ric was faster.

Yep. Let's hope this is enough to make them finally win the WCC and WDC. Can't stand MAMG winning another title. (And yep, i just prefer to see another team/driver win, nothing against MAMG).

Another essential part of his job should be to get the car home. ( with as many points as possible, but home)
There will be times where the gamble is to go for the extra couple of points, but a banker is a better long time option as Ferrari seem to favour constructors titles.
