The shift paddles are 2 stage, push them half way and you get the next gear in the sequence, push it all the way and you get the gear with best output instantly, from 9'th to 4'th gear for instance ...
And it works both ways. Go out on the highway, pull the lever fully and it will engage the highest possible optimal gear for that particular speed, immediately.

Gotta give it up to Christian as well, he really knows his cars in and out.

Yes, I have the deepest respect for Christian, always trying to do things in a new and better way. And I really enjoy his openness, always willing to explain and talk about his cars and ideas

Beautiful car.

Wish it didn't have to have the rear wing...
As far as I understand, this is not the 300mph variant. Christian says another variation with less downforce will be the one aiming for 300mph. So I guess there will be another iteration of the rear wing on that one.
I didn't like the wing on this one at first either, but it's growing on me.

This explains pretty well how the gearbox works. Pretty clever

Jesko is replacment for Agera, 7 speed "dual clutch hard core" car.
Regera is more relaxed direct drive hybrid which is stil in production.

While there is little information on new gearbox, IMO it's probably some sort of automated manual gearbox.

Koenigsegg is a real deal for some time already. It's incredibly advanced in many areas and most importantly , it delivers!

It’s also pretty cool, as we don’t really have a flywheel on the outside, or a clutch, because they are all inside the casted aluminum housing. So when you’re in neutral, you have super low inertia engine with a super-lightweight crankshaft and connecting rods to the pistons. So, it’ll rev like a Formula One engine on idle. And sound completely crazy.

In many ways, it’s very simple. We have eight actuators, and eight pressure sensors. One for each hydraulic clutch. There are seven clutches, but there’s an eighth for the electronic differential. We carry that over from the Agera RS. And then there’s one actuator for reverse, and six for the forward gears, on three shafts. So, two clutches per shaft. That makes it possible to mix and match three gears in pairs.

I wonder how much weight could be taken off if it was adapted to a low torque 200-300hp motor.

dynamic balance

Does this mean Jesko has much bigger transmision losses then Agera?
Also new gearbox has 7 clutches and each has to be able to take 1600Nm!?

Old gearbox was automated manual 7-speed unit with second clutch on the end of the input shaft to shorten synchronisation time.

It may cause shorter clutch life.
I think this is a good idea for daily road cars. For Highway drive you can make it direct drive for last drive that engine has not obligation to drive other gears. It slows down to downshifting but it can be acceptable for that area.
Sory a bit of topic 😁

And the Air-core wheels from the same guy. Thanks for showing me that channel!
