Scuderia Toro Rosso STR14

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It’s a ceramic coating. Reflects heat to the rim.

More likely keeping brake heat away from the wheel

Toro Rosso have adopted RB's fluted rims
Still Apptech rims this year, or OZ Racing to match RBR?

Hadn't noticed it before, but their DRS actuator is similar to Ferrari's this year (integral swan's neck), and it was there in testing as well. Interesting parallel. Last year they both introduced shrouded mirrors at the same time as well, correct?

The DRS actuator design was already there on the STR13 RW. Ferrari used a different DRS actuator design last year. The vented mirror housing was introduced mid-season (british gp IIRC), Ferrari already had them available at the start of the last season.

It seems that Toro Rosso is still using AppTech wheels.

Racing Point switched from Motegi to BBS.

You can find all the infos like wheels and lubricants for all 2019 F1 cars here.
