Jacky with Mauro Forghieri in 1968, before he took off to Brabham, heartbreaking, if Forghieri had been there for 1973,
we would have re-writtten history. Are you with us Don in Houston?

He got some balls accepting to drive that Lotus 56B.

The case remembers me of the Honda RA302 used at the 1968 French Grand Prix. John Surtees refused to drive the newly-introduced car labelling it as a "potential deathtrap" so they asked Jo Schlesser to drive, he accepted and unfortunately on lap two at the race held on Rouen-les-Essartes Schlesser crashed at the Virage des Six Fréres section of the circuit and the car came to rest sideways against a bank. The magnesium-bodied Honda and 58 laps worth of fuel ignited instantly, killing Schlesser and destroying the original RA302 so proving that Surtees was well aware of the dangers.

Since I have broken the 8000+ pictures barrier, I thought it would be a good idea to bring my page back in your attention :)

Glad there still are people watching the gallery. To be honest, I didn't have much time lately for the gallery & even for the forum.

Hopefully that will change soon.

The breakthrough of F1's most lucrative modern designer
The Grand Prix of France in 1990 has good reason to be highlighted and analysed. The race is seen by many engineers and teams as Adrian Newey's absolute 'breakthrough' in the Formula 1 world.
