Engine technology free-for-all

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Not really if the application is for an engine that will always be in the upper rev range and using anti-lag... Twin Scroll helps spool, which isn’t an issue for a race car... For a street car, twin scroll is better

Another reason to go with single scroll is to be able to use a V-Band... Twin Scroll turbo flanges (with 4 fastening points) run a risk of blowing turbo gaskets because of separation... The vibration and the turbo position (bottom mount) increases that risk

Good shots of the DTM Audi, ta roon.

Those aggressive cam profiles remind me of Ducati 'bump-sticks', I wonder if any 'cross-pollination' occurred.

Point of twin scroll housings is to even out exhaust pulses better right??
I guess they use the long tube headers for that application in this instance?

I thought the real point of twin scroll was that you delivered more torque through the lower/ mid RPM range.

I guess it doesn't matter if you are just way up in the RPM band the entire time.
