Yeah it's probably a problem of design and remembers me somewhat of the 'good ol' Lotus with Colin Chapman who built the cars as such that they should more or less fall apart moments after the finish flag is waved, but stay together untill that very moment. In other words, build it strong enough but not so strong that you're using unneccesary reinforcements and thus time, money, resources and weight.search wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 18:47Perez mentioned the same though, and that it seems to affect many cars as the kerbs are fairly aggressive. In FP3 you could also see some marshalls picking up parts from the track, so this is not necessarily a problem only for Williams, or caused by a faulty production of the car.
The margin offcourse is another story alltogether, so i'd say for this track atleast, the margin wasn't high enough for a variety of teams.
The question remains though, if we look at Williams' statements before; do they have enough spare parts? a front wing end plate won't be that big of a game breaker especially with their current state, so on the other hand, it probably won't make much difference.
