Or more accurately, "Why McLaren still back of midfield, despite lucky 6th place"Marc.W wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 19:38"McLaren luck into 6th, how did it happen?"Ground Effect wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 19:37Unfortunately, it'll be titled "Why McLaren has found pace", given the impression they are in the know, whereas they haven't got a clue... Ran off track through the chicane, not sure how or why, only see the tail end of it.101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 19:45Anyone know how Norris got to 15th? Did he make a mistake or pushed out?
I havnt seen replays, but looked to me like he made it away from line ok, but got a bit swamped on both sides at first corner and played it safe101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 19:45Anyone know how Norris got to 15th? Did he make a mistake or pushed out?

Could be any of them!
Maybe.....Bahrain 6th a result of 57 glory laps from headline chasing Mclaren with 'unstable rear' (Autosports only technical input!)
He's a clever lad! Super impressed by his attitude and desire to improve.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 19:52Before Vettel passed Norris, Norris asked the team whether he should race Vettel, they told him to not lose time against the Ferrari and that he will fight with Ricciardo. Norris did a level headed thing and raced ignoring Vettel (no swerving/covering the inside line). Great attitude.
They were significantly faster than Haas and a bit faster than Renault. Norris' pace on mediums was similar to Hulk's on softs. At the end Norris was on old softs from quali. There was no way Renault would have finished ahead of either McLaren's had Lando not lost places on the start.
