When is Albon jumping into Red Bull of Gasly? If Red Bull need to score high in Constructors, then they should make that decision faster.

Max is doing an Alonso for Red Bull. Taking that car to where it doesn't really belong.

Albon or second try for Kyvat can work. The redbull seems kinda toothless though. It's fast enough to stay in the shadow of the P4 car and that's about it. I think they will give Gasly 2 more races to sort out himself before they put back Kyvaat in the redbull.
For Sure!!

Kvyat doesn't cut it. He is done. Even today, he was clumsy and was banging the cars.

And the irony would be lost on them.

hahah,
Vettel is driving angry and he needs to control that. Nothing more than he angrily stepped on the throttle pedal too early. He doesn't have the controlled agression like the great drivers. He needs to work on his head.
He would have fared better easing off the throttle and lining up behind lewis until the car straightens itself and then he would have another go at attacking.
Wow, that's a great impression of an armchair F1 warrior! =D>
Oh, you meant it?

This was a bit of a weird race in terms of form.

Hamilton puts on the mediums, and suddenly he has a racing car. Vettel (and to a lesser extent LEC) had similar problems in that you had the feeling their tyres would misbehave at the slightest provocation, which Vettel demonstrated with that 2018 move.

This is the question I've had about Vettel since 2014; he looks like a different driver when his teammate shows some form.
Merc has high downforce compared to Ferrari, so is more affected by windy conditions which would have made their downforce move about and worn out their tyres faster. This would have made the mediums a better fit than the softs for Merc. They really shouldn't have done the second soft tyre stint.

On a less windy day, Merc would have performed even better.

He was consoling him - "you lost out today but there is a good future ahead". He's just being nice to the guy.
No way. He's just enjoying Vet's misery. Very normal behaviour from Ham. :D
That's just a projection of your own thought style; Vettel is not in contention for anything at the moment.
No, he exactly know who his actual rival is.
Bot just being Bot and Leclerc just isn't quite up there yet at championship contender level, at least for now.
And just watch the mess at Red Bull. Who would've thought they manage to screw up their chassis. This is RB13 all over again.

I can only imagine how Vettel must feel.

-Newcomer Leclerc beats him fair & square
-Race pace was a bit off
-Overtaken by his main rival in spectacular fashion
-Makes a mistake afterwards (maybe not 100% his fault, but still)
-Finishes 5th because of weird front wing complication

Italian media smell blood right now.

Lewis is an incredibly smart operator, he's giving Vettel plenty to think about and hopes to fog his brain.

Lewis is a master of the loaded compliment.

Australian cricketers call it mental disintegration and it involves getting your opponent to think about what you want them to think about rather than their own game.

Gasly and Ric have time to improve. Ric will probably be good in the second part of the season (Starting to Monaco) but Gasly is just looking too soft and focused to bring back the car not damaged after the race.

Agree.
Remember that cheeky wipe the smile out of your face line.
That was a very well calculated mind games. Vettel got lucky with that though.

I don't think it was Kvyat fault though, Giovinazzi understeered into him. From there on, his race was ruined. Also, speed-wise Kvyat is consistently faster than Albon. Not saying Albon is bad, he is driving awesome for a rookie, but Kvyat seems to have stepped up his game.

Might be a strange theory, but couldnt it be that Renault remotely shut down Ricciardo's car accidentally instead of Hulkenberg when his engine blew?
Wow, that would be embarassing. But I am not sure if they are allowed to remotely access the cars (outside of one way telemetry).

Eerily similar to the start of last season, a dominant Ferrari unable to take all the spoils. They need to make hay while the sun shines, because Mercedes will come back an be faster at some point, they seem to be able make it count though.

What was with Bottas today, what was what 24 seconds off Lewis before the yellow flag ? his comeback didn't last long.

And Red Bull about 30 seconds from Leclerc before his issue, the car looked like a dog today
