I really feel for him, he has been very unlucky. I hope he will have a clean race at Baku because he has been performing really well.
By the way, how much damage did his car have? I think some of the bargeboard elements were lost when Kvyat hit his car.

I’m not really sure atm, tried searching for images but haven’t found anything which is particularly clear.

Seems fairly intact.

Thank you for the photos. You can see on Sainz's car there's something stuck in front of the sidepod opening. I guess that's from Kvyat's car, the mechanics removed it during that pit stop.

Norris' floor seems to be damaged as well where the longitudinal slots are.

We had good pace. No worries! We can fight for 4th in WCC this year. Just bad luck for us atm. Looking forward to the next race! So happy we finally have a great car.

Where do we reckon Sainz would have finished without the incident? I think P7 was up for grabs.

I agree that Sainz needs to contain himself, it is costing McLaren valuable points in the championship. Maybe the halo is causing him to lose spatial awareness but he should anticipate what can happen around him.

Baku is more rear limited, and good for top speed so hope Mclaren can be best of the rest

Where are you getting that from? I’ve seeing the inboards from every angle and there is nothing that Sainz did wrong in China

I am not sure what's your point there. Mclaren definately wasn't expecting another team's driver to get both of our cars almost out of the race and definately didn't expected Verstappen to crash on Sainz last round. Am I correct to assume you are one of those Honda guys?

Back on topic. We should have been way ahead in 4th but so far we were very unlucky with the Bull teams. We got to find a way to stay away from them. They have costed us a lot of points. Still I am positive for this year. The car is definately faster and hopefully with the Big Upgrade in Spain it will bring us closer to the first 3 and away from the rest.
