RP benefits from Mercedes Power and with a heavy power track like this one, it isn’t that surprising that they were ahead... STR has looked solid most of the day and did their best time in their first run... I believe Mclaren compromised Q3 to ensure that Kimi didn’t get a tow, they slot between the Alfa’s and that compromised S2 and they weren’t close enough by the end of the lap to Gio to get a good tow in the last sector.
But, P7 isn’t a bad place to be... Hoping for a clean start and then potential make a couple of positions through the race (I believe that in race trim, the STR and RP could be passed).
