Let’s hope for a good start, Lando has been a bit hesitant so far this season
Lots of tears on Baku starts, usually!

I think P10 for Sainz with fresher tires and hopefully a tow from LeClerc is a great starting position! Passing is easy here so our better race pace should be evident.
Wonder if he'll start on medium... You don't need a good start, you can play it safe.

I never understood why drivers are so position crazy at the beginning of Baku. It's impossible to keep a faster car behind.

Kvyat will hit at least three ahead of him.
That would be fun to watch, Mad Max and the Torpedo on the same team!

Carlos not happy at all...
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Who would you rather be? Norris p7 on softs, or Sainz P10 on mediums?

Crucial part is to get through the opening turns unscathed and that’s not easy at this circuit.

I confess, I am concerned with those data on speed by sector. I was expecting more raw speed from us.
To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone. ― Bruce McLaren

Sainz P10 on Med. Cause he's also faster.

mediums are going to be hard to get into the right temps at the start on this track, and with the temps falling because of the late start time. he may be a sitting duck for the first couple of laps if a lot of drivers behind him are on softs. we will see i guess. im sure there are posiitives and negatives to both.

It doesn't say much. I never saw one of the cars get a tow, which is worth at least 3 tenths.

Your gonna have to run them at some point. Better than having to put them on later in race when it's even cooler ! Might be easier to put heat in them with a full tank.

true that. we shall see. the first lap is going to be scary. i think the most important thing is to get through the first few corners without getting crashed out. i trust our drivers, but at least half of the other midfield drivers, not so much.

Had numerous drivers and teams saying that it is a really low tyre wear track, it’s only really the thermal degredation that will punish the tyres. As a result it’s probably not a huge delta one way or the other in terms of soft/medium or medium/soft; given the car seems to have better race pace than quali pace I think it’s very possible for a double points finish if they stay out of trouble, desperate for Carlos to get off the mark after his maladies so far this season.

So maybe do 10 laps on me to find an opening. The switch to soft.
