TBH, yes I know it has been said a lot but I actually believe that there is everything to play for. Like you said, if Ferrari sort out their tire issues, we've got a championship in our hands.BwajSF wrote: ↑06 May 2019, 13:06i do understand that its been four 1-2s in a row for the Mercs.
But Ferrari were struggling with tyres in temp drop in quali surely hit Ferrari bad...
Well, ferrari bringing upgrades... should help thier quest of getting more downforce and balance to get the tyres be in the operating window.
I also understand conventional wisdom says Mercs to the win... But its gonna be very important weekend and gonna be the first win for the Ferraris..
Just got the feeling this year Ferrari might rule the European leg...completely..

I hope too that McLaren can make an step forward and put RB under some pressure.
That has to be a huuuuge step!
Merc 4 1-2s are masking the "real" picture. Merc is not that dominant. With slightly more luck Ferrari could have won two of the races. So, I think the cars are basically equal like last year. What Merc has slightly better drivers and better strategic calls.BwajSF wrote: ↑06 May 2019, 13:06i do understand that its been four 1-2s in a row for the Mercs.

And also vastly better on making the tyres work... so all to play for in the Spanish GPfoxmulder_ms wrote: ↑06 May 2019, 16:11Merc 4 1-2s are masking the "real" picture. Merc is not that dominant. I think the problem for any of the teams with tyre issues, i.e. Haas and Ferrari (off the top of my head this year) is that they take a bit longer than two weeks to solve.Bill_Kar wrote: ↑06 May 2019, 14:36TBH, yes I know it has been said a lot but I actually believe that there is everything to play for. But don't jump to conclusions :we do not know the sheer power of each car & and we don't know how good can the Mercedes get with the updates. That being said, even if Ferrari solve the pirelli puzzle, it doesn't mean they will dominate or that they have the better car.

I mean no disrespect but I find this 'it's only about who wins' to be a bit sad. It's a bit like telling the 40000 London Marathon runners the other week that they wasted their time because they didn't win....
