Is anyone watching the FP1 session live or something? Is Hamilton struggling or what? Bottas seems to be on fire, pushing like a madman while Lewis is... I don't know. Really hard to judge by the Autosport feed today, not much intel there. Not even sure on which tires which times were set and how representative they are... (and yes, I know it's only FP1).

Heaps of oversteer. Looks like setup, probably overheating the tyres by S3. Sadly, I foresee a Mercedes 1-2 again this weekend.

I watched it, don't know what exactly happened to Hamilton's fast lap, he went a bit off at turns 7-8 but still he was quite slow.
His 8-lap stint though was really good.

Vettel flat in T9 (campsa) - min speed 259kmh

last year's pole for comparison wasn't flat but had min speed 261 kmh.

Ferrari never lacked downforce in 2019 like Nico Rosberg suggested. They've been neck & neck with Mercedes in high speed corners.

Expect 2019 pole to be 0.2-0.3s faster than 2018, but that's it. Spanish GP will be no more from next year. Such a shame because Barcelona is such an awesome and demanding track that makes you appreciate the aero aspect of Formula1.

They've been losing it ever since they chose to go for a longer wheelbase since 2018.

It's ridiculous that they were so superior in low speed corners just a year before. Monaco, Hungary, Singpore, all 2017 poles by Ferrari.

When a 5 time world champion, a legend of the sport says no one understands the tyres it really tells us how poor a supplier we are stuck with in a sport loaded with riches. Pirelli is the absolute sh!tt!est thing to have happened to F1.

How many more comments of this sort are we gonna read? Funny thing is that most of them come from obvious Mercedes fans who, I guess, don’t actually hope Ferrari to get on top of their problems and seriously challenge Mercedes.

It's great Ferrari introduced an upgraded PU - but as an armchair novice I would like to point out that's not where their problem lies. I was honestly expecting a bigger update from Ferrari in terms of aero but especially front suspension to bring the challenge to Mercedes.
