No, I just don't believe the concern Mercedes fans claim to have. They would love the team they are supporting to be as dominantly fast as possible.
Don't be so cynical, just because some fans are that way, doesn't mean all of them are.
But who are those Mercedes fans who so maniacally want Mercedes to crush the opposition? Unless he is imagining things that doesn't exist. Mercedes doesn't have a great deal of fan following like Ferrari or Red Bull (mostly all of dutch folks) and on top of that, Mercedes has delivered way more than any of it's fans ever wanted in terms of winning races and championships, to the extent that it has become too much to digest. Beyond that, if anyone thinks Mercedes fans secretly desire the team to crush the others, it's simply paranoia.
It's not paranoia...it's boring 😂

Actually as a Merc fan myself it brings me great joy to see them demolishing ferrari this year after being written as second rate to them 3 months ago. It'll never get boring for me when they are getting everything right and the other teams are whining for parity when they are the ones making the mistakes.

Hopefully new Ferraris PU true pace emerges beyond Mercedes current PU.....or we're in for another very boring Mercedes WDC and WCC once again.
How many more comments of this sort are we gonna read? Funny thing is that most of them come from obvious Mercedes fans who, I guess, don’t actually hope Ferrari to get on top of their problems and seriously challenge Mercedes.
Always makes me smile, though. :)
Thanks for keeping up with all my posts...my #1 fan LM10.
I'm a Ferrari fan...a frustrated Ferrari fan...but still a Ferrari fan since day 1
Now, that's a surprise, fellow Ferrari fan! You must be really frustrated for giving me a wrong impression.

So, the only interesting question left is, when will someone from Mercedes team go out and tell that they need to work unbelievably hard and with unseen ambitions to let the Ferraris not surpass them during the rest of the weekend?

How about the midfield battle in terms of race pace? Anyone has the long runs times from fp2?

I'm quite fed up of the midfield battles to console myself and not having a non Mercedes fight at the front regularly. I don't mind Lewis winning again as long as it's not in a Mercedes. Just anything for something not as stale as the last 5-6 years please. People like me will always tune in, but when one team endlessly wins, fans switch off. I would not mind bringing the rule changes forward from 2021 to 2020. It's getting exhausting!
I don't mind. Mercedes are the best, they deserve to win.

Ferrari and RBR (and others) have the chance to catch and pass Mercedes, it seems they cannot do it!

I was fed up after 2013 as well and felt 2014 was a breath of fresh air. Realised that I'm a bigger fan of racing than teams or even drivers. It's just not enjoyable for me at the moment.

Ferrari mighty on the straight, on par in high speed corners, slower than Haas in medium speed ones and declassified like everyone else in slow speed corners.

Was thinking the exact same thing when I saw this. Both parties looking for excuses not solutions.

I really do feel for Kubica. I hope the team as a whole turn things around, but by the looks of it, it's gonna end as another sad story.
