Why do some Hamilton fans try to underrate Bottas' performance? Just accept that he has upped his game so far this season and beaten Hamilton fair and square.
The lap of Bottas yesterday was sublime and I doubt that Hamilton could have bettered that. The fact he struggled and was all over the place with his car is no excuse and there is no proof he would have been faster without the struggles.

You know, there is the simple possibility of Hamilton being outperformed and that's what we're seeing right now.
I think Lewis is ecstatic that Botta's upped his game.

Lewis wasn't playing games into turn one this time, late breaking on the inside was risky but he wasn't yielding like Baku and just extended his gap from there taking the FL too

Man, what an absolutely dominant performance by Hamilton. Has to be the best so far by him.

Meanwhile Ferrari have left me baffled. Hope they sort it out soon.

Not a bad performance for a "nobody" as you call Bottas.
Sure looked like a nobody today didn't he, so far behind that they let him pit first twice......

Lewis schooled Bottas in race today. 11 seconds gap before each pit stop. That is something. A total of 4 priority pit stops for Bottas so far.

Ferrari absolute trash strategic calls. As usual and as seen in last years.

They lost the opportunity to get podium because of that.

Yeah Lewis did most of his damage in the final sector. He dominated Bottas there lap after lap, and the further into the stint the worst it was for Valteri. Awesome perfomance by Lewis. He is so hard to beat. You may have him covered on a Saturday, but so often he will get you back on Sunday. Surely an all time great.

Well, there's always next year, Ferrari. If Gasly ups his game (that, or had Ric not left), Red Bull would have a very decent chance of beating Ferrari to second come the end of the season.

Ferrari's traditional motto, save a few years in the early 2000s

The narrative that there will be some kind of transformation in performance is stale. This is it: Mercedes are going to crush it this year and enjoyment will be found in the other fights. Ferrari will likely end up fighting Red Bull who on their current progress will likely overhaul them.

All this talk about strategy and team orders is because Ferrari just aren't fast enough, and their drivers are closely matched.

Bottas lost a lot of time at the end of the first stint, maybe he used his tires too much in trying to stay close to Hamilton.

I knew it was gonna be a Mercedes 1-2 given the qualifying results but it looks to me like Ferrari has totally lost the plot. This kind of dominant performance by Mercedes has GOT to be absolutely soul destroying.
