How about a penalty loop? Increase distance without making the track much bigger, plus entertainment!
lol, excellent! what's the point of being a media company if you can't do stuff like this? Plus they could have a long upside-down section so we could finally actually see an F1 car driving upside down :D

Yes! For that matter the whole track could be a large noodle of tarmac elevated above the ground which the cars drive upon the outer surface of. On straights, drive on the underside of the noodle for reduced rolling resistance. 8)

Now, would it be better to drive on the topside of the noodle or the bottomside? When cornering. (Poll above) I'm disallowing the innermost face because that would be the obvious choice, and I also have the support pylons there, in my head. I know which one I would choose...

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

A noodle track, sounds sustainable! Love your CAD work too. The fastest way would be going round and round wouldn't it, from over to under, so you could have a vortex

Corrr, blimey! That’s a whistle whetter of an idea! Orange an’ lime marmalade tyres an’ noodle,.. just think! All swimmin’ in firecracker sauce with oil. Worthy o’ two-three Michelin Stars... Least!
