Chinese guys build f1 car from scrap

Post

Hehe look what I found. A couple of chinese guys built an F1 car from waste. It took them 20 years, but the eventual car does top 160km/h ;)

Just put 4 slicks and it will be ready for Kimi and Felipe in 2009.

It's amazing the perserverance and dedication these two wonderful motorsport enthusiasts displayed in creating this replica. My hat's off to these guys.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

haha, i wonder from what material the body work is made... paper, cardboard?? aaa plastic...
But speaking seriously, my hats off to these guys. I think thats a hell of work.
If they mass produce them i would consider buying one made of plastic in 400 years hahaha

Actually racing boat hulls and railway car inner-wheels were once built of paper/resin composite layers (earlier in the century, search paper composites) a boat's hull closely resembles a formula cars monocoque and a rail wheel is subjected to considerable forces - hope you have to sense of humour to  at your own self :D

Those 2 Chinese guys have done quite a good job, has anyone on F1T completed a similar project on such limited resources - I think not - prove me wrong. :D

Wow. Nice work. Dreams is all life is made of.

Carlos: yes, we've done something. We're only 17 years away from our first car. :)

hahaha, i almost knew that someone would say that there was something related made of that hahaha
it was just a matter of time
Thanks for the info by the way
In relation to strange materials, i remembered that in my country in the 18 century a bridge was made of lime and eggs. It was named Cal y Canto Bridge (Puente Cal y Canto in wikipedia in spanish)...

Uhh...This might have something to do with F1, sort of.

Two brothers in China build F1-style street cars in their garage, using scrap metal. This is scary, comical, and downright wtf-inducing, all at the same time.
