Max forced Leclerc off track.
Max was on the racing line and fully upside of Leclerc. He's entitled to take the line.

Doesn’t your nose need to be in front of the other car in order to force the other one off track?

It should be a slam dunk penalty for Verstappen for pushing Leclerc out of the track, while they were side by side.

He didn't leave Leclerc any space. Even if you on the racing line, you need to leave enough space inside the track limits for the other car.

So what is the standard here? I don't think it should be allowed to force a driver off track when you're side by side. But it happens in F1 all the time without penalty so it seems like it's not against the rules is it?

Frustrating to me that Max has so much talent, did such a great race, but chose the cheap way to win. To him it's standard "racing"... so is that the case? Do you all agree that F1 racing should allow for drivers to hit each other and knock them off the road? It's a false dichotomy to say that you can't have hard racing without allowing them to do this.

How does Gasly still have a job? The man is getting lapped by his teammate.
When is the last time this has happened? Where a teammate is lapped in a situation where their race wasn't hurt by something like a collision or flat tire? Especially when that lapped teammate was ahead on lap 1? Wow. What a race!

Great drive from Max to recover from the anti-stall kick in. Mercedes were struggling the whole race. Leclerc drove well at the front but didn't have the pace to hold Max back.

As my preferred driver didn't win, can I now say that was a boring race? That's the line, isn't it?
No man, you'll have to wait until Hungary to be able to say "Formula One is boring, I don't watch it anymore but I'm always on the internet saying how bad it is".

And seriously, if Max doesn't get a penalty for that it will be a complete joke.

I honestly can't understand how he can be so slow. Either he's one of the worst drivers in F1 or there's something seriously wrong with his car.

Great race

The Ferrari tire strategy cost them the win today, Leclerc ran out of tires simple as that.

The trouble max will have defending it is an identical situation had happened a lap before and he left space.

This has been done for years like this. It'll be interesting to see whether the stewards set a new precedent.
