Verstappen's car has the number plate from the Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger (1964) and Gasly's car has the Aston Martin V8 plate from The Living Daylights (1987).
Regarding their wastegate pipes - I haven't seen such an expanding angle yet (correct me if I'm wrong), but I beleive potential gain is very marginal.
Some say those are not the wastegate pipes, but launch tubes....JRodrigues wrote: ↑11 Jul 2019, 16:10
Is the angle of the pipes regulated (regarding the center line)?
New to me as well. Wastegates use may give an an idea of their effect--drag reduction or downforce increase or neutrality.
I think they are trying to blow the inside surface of the endplates to some degree. You see most teams have slots etc in the end plate to equalise the pressure around the end of the wing. Perhaps the layout of the pipes does something similarHPD wrote: ↑11 Jul 2019, 15:19https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D_L oxxAUwAA-hiz.jpg
Are they really getting some trick with the layout of those pipes?
