Why the heck Verstappen was not penalized for leaving the track and gaining an advantage? Poetic justice for Leclerc though.
What situation are you talking about?
Against Vet or against Lec?
Against Lec.

Hamilton takes record beating 5th win at Silverstone

Lewis Hamilton has won his home race, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone for the 5th time in his career. Valtteri Bottas ended up a disappointed second, followed by Charles Leclerc in third.

fantastic racing, there was no way Bottas was going to get the win today. Shame Gio's crash robbed us of an epic battle. Good clean racing in the first half of the race and then... WTF was that Vettel Verstappen crash all about? Norris lost out big time with the SC but good driving and great battles all up and down the grid. Leclerc gets his podium back in the end!

Thank you Silverstone for a very entertaining GP.

I can name another 2 situations when Ves left the track while overtaking, all without investigation.

Merc's pace is ridiculous. They are just playing with everyone else.
how can the quali be so close, yet the race is just a walk in the park? Surely some quali modes cant make such a difference. It would be interesting to see what verstappen could do in clear air with a clean race. I bet he would put 15-20s on the nearest ferrari, who had zero pace today, especially on some parts of the track like trough T1 and T2.
Mercedes & RB are much better with tyre management at Silverstone. In one lap this advantage won't show up, but in long runs they prevail. This has been talked since Friday.

What a race! Amazing! And they showed the right battles on track, too! Let Mercedes finish 1-2 every race if we get to watch that

Great fun to read the complaints about the boring races the start of the season but once there is some really bad ass racing going on people start crying about leaving the track and stuff. Seems like you guys better watch some golf or maybe soccer
Agreed, this was a cracker of a race, it had everything

It must be Will Smith again.

Anyway top marks for the British production crew, they really kept going to where the racing was the spiciest. There needs to be more of the rather than following the front regardless.
