Max does a subtle late block in the braking area, closes off what was a clear line, causes a collision, and the stewards are oblivious, again
Completely agree. Verstappen was way too slow trying to close the room and Vettel had nowhere to go. FIA stewards are clearly creating a demon who has no regards for the rules.
he left half the track open for vettel to go he didnt do like vettel did in canada he stayed on his side even of the racing line vettel had a good change of getting him back

At half the speed that usually drivers do for that corner, with a slight move to the right, while clearly watching his mirrors as to where Vettel was trying to move.

I have to ask, why the pink hat for Lewis?
Pink is making the rounds as a popular color right now, I'd expect Lewis is on top of that trend.

I thought it was a support for a cancer charity or something.

Here at Silverstone, it seems that Merc are some 7-8 tenths ahead of RB and some 8-9 tenths from Ferrari but what`s frightening me is that in Hockenheim they could be at least 3-4 tenths faster or maybe more, bearing in mind their announced big upgrade there'll bring there ...
After qualifying though, the narrative here was that Red Bull and Ferrari had completely caught up.

Merc, meanwhile, said they had trouble switching the tires on in qualifying. It looks like that claim was accurate.

Lmao Leclerc had to ask on the radio if it wouldn't be better to pit under SC but they simply reacted too late.

I love the people saying Vettel had no where to go, in Canada they were the same ones saying Hamilton should have gone to the left and overtaken Vettel. Even when a driver makes an obvious mistake and then (it's not often for Vettel, but credit to him for taking responsibility) admits his fault, fans still don't want to see it.

Verstappen has a shady history, a well earned shady history but of late he's been hard and clean. Not hard and dirty. Leclerc's fought hard and clean, excellent racing up and down the grid today, shame some folks can't bring themselves to enjoy it.

On another note, Haas has the crappiest drivers on the grid, the sooner they dump both of them the better.

There should be a big shout out for Pirelli for having made tyres that drivers can push without being cry babies. What a shame, Red Bull and Ferrari wanted them changed.
Absolutely. Austria this year and Silverstone ‘18 and ‘19 wouldn’t have been possible without these tires.

The tyres were excellent today. Lots of hard racing at full speed and the tyres took it all. Someone complained that the tyres were too hard on the choice. Softer tyres would have been wrong.

Pirelli only mentioned when the tyres aren't right, but the media should be praising them for today.

Hamilton takes record beating 5th win at Silverstone

Lewis Hamilton has won his home race, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone for the 5th time in his career. Valtteri Bottas ended up a disappointed second, followed by Charles Leclerc in third.

Exactly now all of sudden certain team principles and fans have gone all quiet about it.

Race at proper tracks and this is what you'll get! obviously there'll be a few boring races but the last two races have made up for it.

The WDC is shaping up nicely, only 16 points between 3rd and 5th.
