I saw a funny picture. It was Kimi looking straight at that camera during the race, and the caption was 'O Hai' :D

That pic from under the wing is interesting...

I always thought the nose cone hole picked up the air from the main wing plane and passed it through the nose. The picture makes it look like the hole gathers the air from behind the main plane...

I always thought that there would be a good deal of negative or low pressure behind the front wing planes, so how does the cone hole add down force if it picks up the air at that point?

I could just be seeing things incorrectly too, please let me know if I'm out to lunch on this :D

I think you can't so easily say that the hole picks up air from below the wing. I think it just bleeds air from that area, allowing more agressive central section.

The French front wing looks like it creates quite a bit less downforce then the British one just compare the second flap.

Indeed french wing's second flap is a bit smaller and i have also spotted another difference close to the endplates

Interesting, so it is shorter chord but has higher AoA.
