Mercedes much faster in race trim than any other team.. Amazing how much BS their PR dishes out!
Redbull was the fastest car today. No doubt. Hamilton's mercedes was slightly behind, but experience won out in pace and tyre management. Max was pushing too hard when he was leading hamilton. He just couldn't' hold on for long with hamilton behind.
For Sure!!

Albon beat Kvyat comfortably. Not bad after losing track position and an awful pitstop. Anyone know what happened to Kvyat?

Russel beats Stroll whilst Perez finishes just outside the points. I know it's Force Stroll but this is ridiculous.

McLaren showing they've got a comfortable grip on 4th spot at the moment, especially with Renault going backwards.

Lots of interesting stories outside of the podium race. Tbh, it's been a throughly entertaing few races up and down the grid.

Somehow Mercedes is much better with race pace and tyre management than RB. I guess Saturday' Red Bull pole WAS a bit of "deception" that made us think the RB really caught up with Mercedes' chassis.

Nico Rosberg and anyone claiming Verstappen surpassed Hamilton can eat his entire ass lmao ...
That is it!!! Max should shut his mouth too, saying, Lewis wins in faster car. On a track where overtaking is so hard, he had the advantage of pole and still can't save a race. Lousy.
As much as I disagree with the Hamilton/Verstappen topic, you can't deny Mercedes were the fastest today... Lewis was going to be in front of Verstappen either way. Great race from both Max and Ham, nice overtake by Seb for the podium in the last laps. Absolutely amazing Sainz today, keeping Gasly behind for the second part of the race.

That becomes more apparent with every race but RedBull seem unwilling to anything about it. It’s probably going to cost them 2nd in the WCC which makes it even more confusing.

Muhahaha .. but he is/was right though. There is nothing really between Ham and Ver at the moment, the merc made the difference today .. on racepace and tire mgmnt.
Most impressive however is that Fer was 40s (!) behind.

Nonsense. Merc in race trim caught RBR so quickly it was laughable. Hamilton played his part though

I don't think the mercedes was faster, hamilton would have caught max much earlier and overtake more decisively.
I would say cars about equal with redbull advantage in middle sector and first. I think driver experience with managing pace won out; also hamilton has won here 7 times. That cannot be discounted.

Great strategy by Mercedes and performance from Hamilton.

61.433 seconds behind the winner!

If I were head honcho at Red Bull, I'd be making a decision fairly imminently concerning Gasly - this guy was absolutely nowhere. Lapped by your teammate, and without an accident to blame either! Put Raikkonen in the Red Bull, he's completely wasted in the Alfa.

Fantastic race, great defending by Max, relentless attacks by Hamilton and Mercedes with a strategy call that they believed only Lewis could execute on. Sublime.

Enjoy the summer break guys.
