The one thing that fuel economy allows is that Mercedes (or whomever) can take a full tank if they wish and then drive flat out for longer. The small pace loss from the extra fuel weight might be offset by being able to force your competitors to have to fuel save. They then become easier to chase / run away from.Marti_EF3 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2019, 08:29I think the Merc PU is slightly better on fuel effuciency. And they maybe can start the race with less fuel on the tank. But it's a great sign by Honda they seem to not save fuel during the race, and with higher modes during the last races (excluding Germany).
With the HP increase of the Spec 4 and fuel, they should be able to add more downforce without loosing top speed.
That is not correct. They have to race 9 races with the spec 4?
Why? That is a race they can possibly win so they need every bit of performance. The championship is already gone so going for individual wins now.
Honda is talking about a big upgrade. Last year they had two times a > 25 hp upgrade
define a substantial upgrade when Honda say slight about 10 hp, couple this with Exxon upgrade in Sochi and 40 hp is in your hand.KelsO wrote: ↑08 Aug 2019, 23:03why 40?
