There is a year old article here

https://www.motorsport.com/fia-f2/news/ ... r/3183894/

that says Honda want Nirei Fukuzumi or/and Tadasuke Makino as their poster boys.

Does not look like either will have points though as the will start dropping points through being out of time soon.
Both of them are struggling at Super Formula. And Fukuzumi rookie season at F2 was average. If Honda wants them to develop, they need to put at least one of them on a competitive car on F2
Vandorne did well there...so I doing well doesn't say much. Although not doing well there just shows how far off the mark they are.

Thanks. Its good, but it would be nicer if it was up to date, but then it will change again at the end of the season.
I suppose FIA have to keep records somewhere but nothing coming up with google
yeah i searched google and at the FIA-site but couldn't find anything.....
if it wasn't so difficult to keep up with everything i would keep the list up-to-date ... but think of what you have to do to keep it up-to-date (every serie, every racer, new racers) and for that i have no time
I think you would have little chance with all the 'national' series etc. Still, FIA must have records.

There is also a ranking
https://www.driverdb.com/driver-ranking/

which could probably warrant a thread of its own
this deserves a +1 (which i gave you) and yes i agree this should be getting his own topic as information at least
although its a list of 2013-2015

Do you believe it?? Or it's a silly rumour again... The original article that says it, comes from French media :?
Red Bull made the announcement on Monday morning but RMC Sport are reporting that Gasly found out just hours before it was confirmed. They are also reporting that the relationship between the French driver and his engineers was tainted.

You know, this personal vendetta people have against Verstappen is getting seriously boring. Can you guys just keep it to yourself unless you have valid arguments?
This is nothing new, Hamilton has been getting it for years - and Vettel, when you are at the top you get targeted - simple.

Expecting a Gasly statement in the lines of Kvyat '"i was watching game of thrones".

I think things are blown out of proportions. Gasly hearing it hours before is the dumbest thing i've ever heard,
Gasly essentially heard it 2 races ago and quite frankly, all his RBR race results told him he was out.

Him not getting along with the engineers, i dunno. perhaps. it's easy to start gossip and stories to be honest.
quite frankly, i feel like Gasly isn't the type of guy to be arrogant of sorts, to be honest, i hold Ocon much more like that, ala Wehrlein style, but then again, remember that same diva-rumour about Wehrlein? We have no real clue whether there ever was anything truthfull to that.

fact is simple, Gasly did not perform according to the demands RBR had/has, and they have no trust or base to believe he is going to perform sooner or later according to those demands. It's a valuable seat, they are rightly so to have demands for the seat. They now throw in Albon as that means 1 thing: they have more confidence in him achieving those demands compared to Gasly.

I don't believe Gasly will drive for ToroRosso in 2020 though, i think this is Bourdais-style, or whatsthatspanierd's name that is a DJ style. Won't see him in F1 again after 2020 i believe.

while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

They are not aimed at going for the big results, so why not make your engine partner happy while you are at it and make sure they stay committed through the next decade to your senior team even if it means placing a Japanese version of Heidfeld at STR?
STR would be delighted to have a driver of the calibre of Heidfeld! =D>

I'm not sure if any of Honda juniors are of the caibre of ace Mercedes junior Heidfeld. :?:

I liked Heidfeld. Not a top tier driver, but he was good at scoring points consistently, specially on the BMW-Sauber days. If a Japanese driver is equal skilled than Heidfeld, it would be a perfect fit for 2nd RBR driver. But that's dreaming too much right now

He should chase a seat in the Merc and brush up on his qualifying then.

Should Honda take the penalty in Spa? Why not like in 2017, have Albon take the penalty in Spa, and then Verstappen in Monza. I think a podium is definitely on the cards regardless of what happens, furthermore, Ferrari will be much more competitive at Spa, so a Mercedes victory is not a guarantee. There are exactly 3 corners where Mercedes has an advantage around Spa, and Ferrari's speed will more than make up for it. They're(Ferrari) likely to be very competitive in Monza as well.

Singapore will be very close, Russia is a big unknown, Mercedes will be very strong in sector 3. Japan is very similar to Silverstone in terms of what it demands of the car, although it's more punishing on the tires.

Knowing that the gap is so close, makes any update that can close said gap exciting. I honestly wouldn't mind watching things play out as they did in Hungary for the rest of the season, obviously with different results.

Two fierce rivals dueling at a stalemate until one genius tactical move makes all the difference. It makes great TV, almost like Initial D but better.

I think redbull will have the upper hand in the high downforce corners from here on out. The car has been held back by using very conservatively small wings and still pretty much managing to be equally fast as mercedes in the medium speed. They will adjust to Honda now and should have the edge in the high downforce circuits. I see them scoring more points over the last half of the season than Mercedes. The RB15 will be the best car in the last 4 races.
For Sure!!

They may have had less downforce but they also seem to have more drag compared to last year. That is what perhaps caught them out more than anything as it makes adding downforce tricky. Fortunately for them Merc seems to have the same issue although less tricky as they had grip from the start.
