Nonsense how is he better than Gasly he was timid he didn't overtake in the first stint he has to wait for strategy to come to him Gasly was ahead of all Honda powered cars but by pitting first he suffered tire wear at the end he should have finished ahead of kyvat
I don't see any nonsense, you need better analisis of the whole context.
First weekend with the RB15, and he adapted to the car more than Gasly with half a season. He was battling on a train of 8 cars all with DRS on the first stint, plus I'm sure he wanted to be careful. But he did nice overtakes, not waiting to DRS zones. He's brave, he have that 1vs1 strenght that Gasly was lacking on the RBR. On the other hand, Gasly seemed a lot more confortable on the STR. Happy for him, at least he may retain his seat on STR, but will be hard for him.

A race of two halves for Albon. I think he can be quietly pleased with the result, considering Gasly only managed a single 4th place and 5th place finish in his time at Red Bull. His pace toward the end was also very strong.

However, he did look rather timid during the first stint. The attempted pass by Ricciardo seemed to wake him up a bit.

Monza will probably be a difficult race, so he should just focus on scoring points again, and staying out of trouble.

Alex just told Brundle that he was struggling with getting the Mediums up to temp and his pace was sort of nowhere, he radioed in and thought he could get the softs to turn on easier, they pitted a bit earlier and he said the car came to life and he felt much more confident with it and just got to work.

This race really makes me think how easier to drive is the toro rosso compared to the redbull. That and probably how good is max to be able to handle it. Gasly was on top of his game with the toro rosso and seemed 10 times more comfortable wrestling it through the corners.
Remember the STR is fighting different cars than the RBR, and the drivers have different motivations to risk.

Albon probably had only one practice session under him with heavy fuel, give him a break.

Sure ok, but Gasly and Albon were fighting the same cars they did before they switched teams.

But the drivers had different opinions when caught by a Red Bull than when caught bu a STR. One they knew they were fighting for points, the other they were only delaying, and wasting their own time.

Albon used an old specification engine in the qualification and race. He was replaced after Friday's training. Kvyat used a new one.

Source? And why replace it? Nobody said that, and Honda said today that the Spec 4 delvered what was expected, and a lot of data was gathered. It've no sense to change to a Spec 3 if you want to test the new engine on a power hungry track... But well, let's wait and see if there is any source

Helmut Marko in front of the camera of the ORF.

"The faster engine, we did not use that today."

I read it in motorsport, but there is only part of the Horner interview he gave to journalists after the race. I think we need to wait until the original appears. But the article says just that.
