I missed LeClerc but was it as obvious as that?MtthsMlw wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:25Leclerc did exacly the same in the first runs in Q3, Vettel also cut the chicane but he locked up.

I disagree. They ALL just wanted a car to tow them. Nobody wanted to be at the front.notsofast wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:30At 4:00? I don't think so.Restomaniac wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:24True but the second RedBull pull that trigger everyone uses Albon for his tow. That was the problem.notsofast wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:17I rather enjoyed this game of chicken.
Q1: everyone comes out at 3:00. Plenty of margin.
Q2: everyone comes out at 2:15. Still enough margin.
Q3: everyone comes out at 2:00. Oops.
Biggest loser was RBR. They should have sent Albon out at 4:00. He had a good chance for P5 without a tow and probably wouldn't have ended up higher than that anyway.

How does he not get a penalty for that? he was literally coasting along for an f1 car. Vettel at-least locked up.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:25Leclerc did exacly the same in the first runs in Q3, Vettel also cut the chicane but he locked up.

Yeah I imagine Renault will use that to get Negate the Hulk evidence.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:35See the streamable linkRestomaniac wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:33I missed LeClerc but was it as obvious as that?MtthsMlw wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:25

Exactly- because it would be impossible to implement it. It doesn't come into play in other sports if there's a camera angle which shows a ball being clearly out anyway or in American football where an angle shows a foot out of bounds, so wouldn't be necessary with a shot of the tyres of a car being clearly over a white line as we have here.turbof1 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:20F1 does not have Hawk-eye thoughEl Scorchio wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:19The rules in tennis and football are different. Football is about whether the whole of the ball breaks a vertical plane or not. Tennis is about whether the ball, when it bounces, makes contact with any part of the line or not. For me, the tennis interpretation is more sensible and easily enforcable here, due to the nature of the sport and available camera angles etc.
Sky commentators were bending over backwards to saw he was in. Can't imagine Italian coverage, but the fact he's keeping his lap is a joke.turbof1 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 16:53https://twitter.com/EliGP/status/117033 ... 21031?s=20
So ehh, can we get VAR in here?
He shouldn't get off, he should get a penalty and so should Leclerc!Restomaniac wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 17:38Yeah I imagine Renault will use that to get Hulk off.
I won’t argue with that. However it’s Ferrari at Monza so.............
Their is a rule against it, I'm almost 100% sure. You aren't supposed to leave the track without a good reason.
