With a tight pack in front of him, rain and spray, with high risks.
...100% IMHO, and I am NOT a Max fanboy...the Kid has rain skills.Capharol wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 23:50but we know Max is the better rain driver then 95% of the pack
Are there rules to keep this from happening? I thought taking a fresh engine outside of your yearly allocation just meant a grid drop, but I could be wrong. I guess Honda would probably rather not do it because of all the haters out there that will give them grief for using so many engines in one season, and also they may have plans for a spec 5 later?Scorpaguy wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 22:45Why...good (sneaky) way to bank new, fresh parts for later in the year. There are rules to keep this from happening, but Horner is slippery (slippery enough to try anyway).lio007 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 22:23Why should he do that? During todays quali the PU switched to a safe mode, there was no failure or damage.G'dayBruce wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 22:13You'd assume Max would bank another spec 4 engine tomorrow, no?
interesting that this only happens to Verstappen though, and for the second week in a row. Does he have different engine modes available compared to the other three?!
Sorry guys but its not going to be raining. The best weather models show heavy rain till 1200 and then dry. So by race start at 300 after F2 race it will be bone dry.Marti_EF3 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 23:29I got it from Meteo Italia. It's hard to come to the same conclusion, it's not clear at all regarding the quali of yeasterday why Gasly was weak in Redbull and Albon had less top engineers.McMika98 wrote: ↑08 Sep 2019, 08:59Its becoming clear why Gasly was not performing in RedBull. He had faster time in Q1 than Kvyat in Q2 and would have got in Q3 with that time easy. Max has all the top engineers and is the priority. Poor Alex was constantly driving in free air without slipstream all quali. The only time he had a slipstream was in Q3 when it was redflagged. Had Gasly still been in Redbull he would have kicked a massive whinge.
