for once ferrari's straight line speed was simply too much to handle.

As a side note. verstappen couldnt pass perez for like 25 laps sitting in his drs. That new merc engine is no slouch.

Leclerc didnt lose it under pressure and for that i pull my hat. Hamilton once again was relentless. Both drivers of the day IMO.

Bottas disappointing in the end. Vettel... cant help but feel sorry for him. Man, what a mistake. :|
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

I wonder if that Ferrari was designed to just win here?

No one is touching a Ferrari in Monza.

At least I am happy to see them laughing at last.

Leclerc did not leave Lewis any room and squeezed him off the track at high speed when he was alongside him.
He blocked him during Curva Grande and moved under braking.
He locked up and cut the chicane.

He shouldnt have won like this. Its disappointing.

A warning upfront to keep it civilised, guys. I'm having none of bickerings, insults or personal comments.
and because this was the last post (for me) on the previous page, a friendly repetition.

It was the second race where Merc couldn`t show their true race pace!
I said before and try one more time: when your opponent has faster, much faster, regarding top speed than you but has a slower race pace, the only thing you could do is to have 1 more stop (so 2 stops here) in order to pass him!
Seems that Merc didn`t learn anything from Spa. Here is a short pit stop hence a 2 stop S-M-S strategy would have been wiser/smarter to do ...

I wonder what was the point of the warning.

Love to see the stats - the Ferrari was practically the same speed as the Merc without DRS!

Really like Leclerc but didn't agree with his driving today. But its Monza so they are never gona penalise.

Despite being the fastest driver on track, Lewis' moaning is a real pain in the man-veg. Shut up and show him the talent then Lewis, geez.

Slightly challenging when the guy you are racing a) pushes you off if you get near him b) straightlines a chicane if you get near him and c) moves in the braking zone to block you when you get near him.

Liberty got what they needed though and it'll keep the Tifosi happy. Good race for Renault, gutted for Sainz. Stroll and Vettel got away with risking being T-boned the week after a driver was killed and another placed into a coma when a similar event happened and Alfa Romeo need to read the rulebook.

Plenty to discuss at least.

They made an error at the pitstop. The right front tyre wasn't fastened properly.

Hamilton made the race interesting. He kept the pressure on Leclerc for the whole race. Without that, it would have been a fairly boring race. Well done to Charles for his win although tempered by a couple of his actions that took the shine off for me. But he stood up to pressure from one of the greats with only a single "moment" which he was able to survive.

Bottas not quick enough today. Vettel - time to hang up the racing boots? Good recovery by Max after his first corner drop. Nice drive by Albon. The Renaults had a quiet race to good points.

Ouch! That hurts, he was doing very well. Tough luck for McLaren in the past two races as Renault have been doing pretty good, especially today.
