It’s basically a mini cape behind the new nose - interesting that they still chose not to extend the cape further ala Mercedes et al; you’d think there’d be some dirty downforce available in doing that.
But drag too, a lot of it.
Which I wouldn’t expect them to be concerned about in somewhere like Singapore.
This nose might not be a Singapore one off.

New diffuser now on the car, I think it's the one tested in France.
Waiting for better pics.

They didn’t put it on in FP1 and FP2, did they? So that’s a picture from FP3? Quite interesting.

Yes that's from FP3, not 100% sure that they didn't use yesterday as well.

Are they using it on both cars or only on seb's?

I am a real aero noob- so having said that myself, here’s my question;

I’ve noticed over the years- it started with the front wings, that the more ‘elements’ the better and now they also do it at the diffuser (edge).

Hypothetically speaking- if it would be allowed & possible and they created a diffuser (edge) existing out of 50 tiny elements- would this in theory be even better than the 4 they currently use?

I don't think it's as black and white as that. If you look at the SF70h's diffuser it is very complex in the outer section, probably what you're imagining. For sure it worked well back then but in 2018 Ferrari went with a more 'traditional' design. In general most diffusers look quite similiar nowadays. More winglets or more gurneys may pull some more air from underneath but also induce more drag. With the current regulations I guess more than 3 gurneys aren't worth it, not that much space there to work with.
