Seems like Verstappen could have gone faster in S3. He had quite a lot of traffic.

Pace analysis from official F1 homepage shows that RBR was the only car being faster than Mercedes in medium speed corners and just 1 tenth off pace in slow speed corners.
I think driveability and power of the new Honda spec, which we still have not seen at full beans, will be a significant factor as well, considering how close it seems to be between Max and Hamilton.

Nice little toe there for Verstappen, right on Raffles Boulevard. The most ideal place if you ever want to have a little toe on this circuit.

although watching on F1TV through the Lewis` T-cam I just heard Bono telling him to switch to STRAT5 just after he went out on those M tyres (before that, on the S tyre stint he was on STRAT12) ... also interesting to hear how Bono is coaching him, by the way ...

In case someone is interested.. STRAT5 seems to be one of the highest race modes, labeled as RACE Plus Deploy.
This was also the mode Lewis was told to use for his fastest lap in Monza.

Strat 12 is labeled Race Save 100 Deploy, a lower power setting. Usually not used during the race.

From what I can see, on average Hamilton is between 3-10kmh faster at the apex in every corner. Honda noticeably is in a higher power mode as it out accelerates the Merc quite noticeably. You can argue its drive-ability etc but Merc has a habit of running it fairly safe on Fridays.
To me it seems a complete given that the Merc is far superior here.

We may well see it closer in the early phases of quali due to saving of engine modes. If Merc can go a bit less full pelt on the engine then they will

FP3: Leclerc surprises by going fastest

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has bounced back from an anonymous Friday by topping the times in FP3 of the Singapore GP weekend. The Monegasque topped Lewis Hamilton and team mate Sebastian Vettel.

Ferrari is always strong in FP3 (even won in Monaco and came very close in Hungary), so I wouldn't read too much into it yet, but it looks like they are not too far off at least. Could have a shot at first row
