No. Without a SC it will be very clear. The leader will pit one lap after he is clear of the first midfielder. P2 has to follow or will get the undercut from P3 once this one is clear of the midfield.
It will be interesting if they anticipate the midfield pitstops correctly. This is my bet on Mercedes race win.
It's not quite polite to start 'No' like that, just sayin. And it's not a given that the Ferrari can get clear before their tyres go off, then get their 80 degree hard rears going while Lewis does his hammertime lap or whatever. So let's see! My bet is p3 and 5 pit first... :)

Must be tempting for Lewis to go for a big lunge into turn 1 pushing Leclerc wide and getting a black and white flag, but given that Charles and Seb and not even in the Championship fight probably worth being conservative.

I wonder if it's annoying for the drivers having to wait the whole day until the race finally starts.
I'm happy that it's an hour earlier here than usual :)

They are prob busy to be honest. Maybe a little work our at some point, team meeting, some work with there physio.
They stay on Western time for this one, don’t they? I.e stick to a sleeping pattern of going to bed at what would be a normal time in CET, but actually early morning in Singapore time, and getting up in the afternoon there, but what would be the morning here. So therefore this one only starts seemingly at lunchtime for them as usual.

Looking at how badly the people on the dirty side got a start last year I fully expect it to be a Ferrari 1-2 within a few corners.
Agreed. it'll be Charles then Seb out of the first corner.

I`m sorry I couldn`t read and someone spotted before me but after rewatching the qualy I think Merc was setting their car more towards race pace and my argument is that in Q3, when all matters, Lewis has had some oversteer moments which means that either his car was more pointy or they setup the rear axel in order to preserve better the rear tyres into the race (is here a rear tyre limited track?), bearing in mind Ferrari drivers problems after FP2 race sims ... Thus, the rear tyre load way suboptimal in Q3 hence the tyre didn`t heat enough and a having poor grip led to oversteer and slow qualy times ...

I hope that now Merc learn something from Spa and Monza races, where they couldn`t stretch their legs and show all the race pace available to them and now are opting for a 2 stop S-S-M race, with Lewis heading for an undercut coz Charles would have to nurse the tyres and start a little train but most of all knowing there`s no way to pass him in the DRS zone for being 7-8km/h slower in the top speed trap ...

Then, it`ll be interesting to see if we could have an SC phase in the first stint had Charles or Lewis would opt to stay out and nurse the tyres or just come in and trying for a 2 stop race ...

Horner told that their gap to Mercedes was like they had calculated before. Strange because I would have expected them to be closer.

Vettel Vs Verstappen. Verstappen in the faster race pace car?
Surely not again?

If i were Mercedes and if there was a safety car, i would leave them out both, then use the second car to slow down the pack while the other pits.... maybe this could work at the normal pit stop window too if everyone in front pits?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

The problem here is that when LeClerc pits Hamilton may have enough in his tyres to bolt off and overcut!

Everyone tooling around waiting for a safety car. Is this the race version of Monza Q3?

I am thinking, at some point, Leclerc will have to bolt away before he pits, or he will fall behind the medium runners. Likewise, once many in the midfield will start to pit, and this will open up gaps...
