So current DTM cars are faster than previous generation thanks to new engine regulations but still bit slower than F1 car. But DTM currently no hybrids meanwhile F1 has more hybrids. DTM still bearing a status as a "Formula 1 of Touring Car racing" because DTM is currently the fastest Touring Car racing tournament in Europe.
