Different DRS activator.
It's only new if you had a short memory. That's a pre-Austria, Monaco / France spec front wing. Obviously they have no clue what to do and forced to go back&forth with different elements to try to get lucky with best combination of downforce levels.Wouter wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 11:11Pierre Waché, Technical director said it.seense wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 10:54How do you tell and whats new about it?Wouter wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 09:42New frontwing.

Tell that to Pierre Waché, the Technical director, he said that. Tell him he has a short memory. It's only new if you had a short memory.
Yes he said they will bring a new front wing to suzuka, but he didn't say the wing on the picture is actually the new FW.
Mercedes just went the Red Bull way... so not sure what you’re saying..godlameroso wrote: ↑02 Oct 2019, 18:18Red Bull needs to switch to the box kite side pod style the way Mercedes and Ferrari have done. The rest of the grid are using that fighter jet where the top and side elements are detached.
Box kites are incredible under yaw, the trick is feeding them enough air in the right place.
Of course easier said than done as going full box kite might not work with other bits on the car, and bargeboards.
Mercedes is trying to reduce drag. They lose too much on the straights, and it will be painfully obvious around Suzuka which is very drag sensitive.Zarathustra wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 15:52Mercedes just went the Red Bull way... so not sure what you’re saying..godlameroso wrote: ↑02 Oct 2019, 18:18Red Bull needs to switch to the box kite side pod style the way Mercedes and Ferrari have done.
