Would it be possible to publish a table or picture of the simulation numbers? It is difficult to pause the video with the smartphone :)
The table struggles to fit in a page now we have so many teams...

Hi guys

I made a test simulation of my model, but I am struggle to understand the results. Would you help me to find where I get it wrong?

Here is how they are looking:

I suspect you have a hole in your bodywork STL somewhere - perhaps the junction between "chassis" and "engine_cover" isn't water tight!?

That looks like a blown up simulation. Have a look at the plots. The residuals are probably in the range of 0.1 and the forces over time will look crazy.
Most likely there is some open geometry. Maybe this helps to locate it:

Thanks guys,

I found the hole :)

Could you also explain me what the exchanger volume flow and the engine inlet pressure mean? Are there any minimum flow requirements?

Regards,
Krasen

The volume flow is the amount of air that passes through the hx, it must be equal or superior to 1.5×2=3.0 m3/s.

I don't remember the value of the engine inlet pressure, but I think it must be positive. You can find everything in the rulebook on the official website.

We impose a flow of 0.3m^3/sec on your engine intake (That’s the engine sucking in the air). All you need to do is make sure you have a positive pressure on the intake with that flow imposed. The figure given is actually the pressure integral... it just needs to be >0. 👍👍

Congratulations to Koldskaal, Matteo and Team racing ! Impressive results guys ! Really interesting championship now.
I was expecting to do little better especially on ballance side but never mind I ´m still having fun and looking forward to next races.

Thanks guys 😎

Seeing the results got me thinking about how close me and CAEdevice are, with very different coefficents. So i played around a bit with mvrc-timing and did some matlabing and this is the result:
Image
I only plotted cars with cop=1.85 and 100% engine power.
Beeing so far apart the last two tracks might favor one philosohpy over the other. 🤔

Yes, really cool season, so strange to see JJR in the mid field but new comers on top.
I have updated the page:

I will try to add the new teams tomorrow.

I am more and more impressed by Koldskaal car. Despite a not perfect CAD modeling it is full of good ideas and details that prove a great knowledge of aerodynamics (for sure better than mine). I have 14 points more then him but I can't consider myself safe, because with two wins he will obtain the same points as me, but with more victories and I am sure that a couple of teams can do better than me in the next races.

In summary: it's like having two match points but against Roger Federer.

5.1.2 The planar shapes may be rotated around the Y-axis only. [deleted]
Does the "deleted" bit mean some extra text has been removed or that this rule no longer applies?

There was another rule after that specifying minimum hx dimensions that was deleted.

(If memory serves me right)
