Went back to watch Bottas' start in 2017. It was really close. It's nothing like this, so I do not think it would be fair to compare the two starts. Bottas starts moving as soon as the lights went out. Vettel moved before.
Bottas moves before lights go out, but you have to find a 50 fps clip in order to see it. If you've seen a 25 fps version then he moves the same frame as lights go out because for whatever reason that version has dropped frames in between, whereas 50 fps doesnt.

easily seen from this:

Ah yes that is much more obvious there. Thank you for the video. I only saw the Sky Sports version.

It's why pigeons are so good at avoiding you if you try to sneak up on them - their vision is equivalent to 75fps (three times faster than our 25fps). They see motion that we don't because we, in effect, drop frames compared to them. Anyway, that's a bit OT so sorry for that. :D
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Really oftopic- so my apologies.

This.. interesting that you’ve mentioned this, because I always am wondering:

Do some animals experience a day as longer as ‘24hrs’ because they ‘process’ info faster?

So for example- if we humans process info within a second and therefor experience a day as 24hrs- would it be possible if you could process all info in 0.5sec, that you would experience a day as 48hrs?

humans can see more than 25 fps. Even if we stay on topic, check youtube uplaoded onboards which are 50 fps and compare them to my clips taken from F1TV which are all 25 fps. It we go OT, poeple buy 144 hz monitors because they're just so much better to look at even compared to 60hz.
Unless you meant it as a joke and i failed to spot it, then ignore all this.

Humans don't see frames of information we notice changes. Whilst there is a minimum frame rate that we would notice flicker on in terms of a TV screen.
We see a constant stream of information that updates as quickly as whatever our brains can manage. More frames on a TV just makes the image smoother for us and more life like which is why vr headsets have such high refresh rates to make motion as smooth as possible

Which years Ferrari did Vettel drive in the tyre test of 7-8 oct? Cause getting pole right after tyre test seems have helped him.

The current one (although not with the newest updates) if I understand you correctly.

It's ridiculous that much movement and they didn't even do anything. Stewarding is a joke.
Movement isn't an infringement on the rules.

But it does set a precedent. Let's see Mercedes practice rolling starts and see what Ferrari fans have to say about it.

Rolling start suggests the vehicle was in motion when starting. The vehicle was stationery and had been for the required period of time. This is very different to what you seem to be putting forward? This is to my understanding,

But diffuser said movement isn't an infringement. If that is how teams now interpret the rule then can you explain what is infringing of a rolling start so long as you dont trigger the sensor passing the grid marker? And what mechanism or technology keeps track of whether or not the car has passed the grid marker prior to lights out?

I find the stewards verdict troubling and that they will clamp down on the rule now that it is open to interpretation.

If it's legal. It's legal. And don't give me any BS about rolling starts...like they're gonna be lining up to have start like Vettel's? Give me a break. It has to be his worst start in 10 years.

I'm not talking rolling start like Indy as if you never stopped at your grid box. I'm talking about movement between all red lights on to lights out and away we go as we saw Vettel do. Duh.
