BS.
His lap being scrapped, that would have been correct.
Getting a three-place grid penalty is just bull and once again FIARRARI serving the reds to keep them in some form of spectacle. What a farce.
Let it be clear that Max NOT going off his throttle was absolutely stupid. He should have went off throttle whatever the case would have been, and he would have had P1 and a huge chance for the win.
But then to also be as completely stupid to admit on telly and awaken a bunch of sleeping dogs, whether that was the FIA or probably Ferrari pushing the FIA to go for a look, was absolutely bonkers.
Should've kept his mouth shut.
That said, not deserved to get a grid penalty.
Again, let's just take last race for example. Vettel has a FALSE START, gets NO PUNISHMENT.
LeClerc takes out Verstappen which fully falls under 'CAUSING A COLLISION' and NO ACTION NECCESARY,
and finally the post-race 'penalty' has little to no effect.
Scratching that time set in that lap, yeah, that would have been fair.
But getting him a grid penalty so he now gets to start P4? that's just BS.
especially since the fact is he deserved that P1 to the fullest and set it when there was no issue.
that said, Bottas once again shows he runs out of talent when he needs it.
Dude really got to be delusional to think he has a shot for the WDC.
He is and always will be a number 2.
Anyway, let's hope Verstappen will be so wise to not go outside on Leclerc and get taken out again.
Better to bang wheels at the first corner and see Leclerc get a little of his own. Yes, i've actually said that, downvote me if you like. Leclerc is a great driver but needs to come back to the ground. But let's not underestimate Vettel here. Hamilton has got the WDC in the bag just by finishing in the top 5 or so, so no need to go into dangerous territory. Vettel, Leclerc and Verstappen have something to prove so those are the 3 most dangerous.
But yes, there is offcourse the very present possibility of Vettel and Leclerc coming together. It would guarantee Hamilton the WDC without any doubt.
