We we’re talking about this. Don’t forget they were both British and Jrs and the same time. Hamilton is a 6 time WDC and De Resta is...........?
i haven't noticed this bias from PdR, and i'm the most sensitive snowflake in the world when it comes to Lewis! :?

Has anybody figured out where the hate comes from?

I know there was some legal battle between PDR and Hamilton's dad in about 2013.

Yeah OK if you say so, Hamilton is a terrible poker player.....
Yeah so terrible that everyone including you thought his tyres were shot. How did that go?
You're getting a bit carried away I see, who said his tyres were shot?

Congrats to Hamilton on his 6th title. There has only ever been one other guy who has won more.

He will soon be the most successful of all times.

You did say ‘he was worried they wouldn’t make it’. Which you seemed to back up with your comment about him needing to break them in carefully. Well he didn’t need to carefully break them in and they made it to the end. So it seems you alongside many others fell for Hamiltons bluff. Not bad for a guy who can’t play poker.

Hamilton essentially just called Verstappen dumb in the press conference when asked whether they treat him differently on track, Vettel said "copy paste".

Ferrari clearly didn’t expect Lewis to do such a strong stint on the Hards. There literally was no cliff off, but Ferrari thought there would be one towards end - maybe also considering the damage on Hamilton’s car. That’s why they told Leclerc that there was going to be a fight at the end. Didn’t happen.
to me it looked like Ferrari was struggling in dirty air a lot today, both Vettel as well as Leclerc never really could come closer than ~2s to the car ahead although the whole front group was running fairly slow

That’s just one of many. In that case it seems Mr De Resta thinks Hamilton shouldn’t be allowed to need room when he is actually alongside somebody else!

Hamilton forced Verstappen off. He was lucky to get a win. We all know Max would have won.
Would have won? I assume you meant to say "We all know Max would have won...if he hadn't damaged himself blundering into Hamilton, then blundering into Bottas, then blundering into K-Mag, then risked another puncture by deciding to overtake K-Mag off track".

Even if he had avoided doing all of that, the Ferrari's would've split strategies and at least one would've beaten him. His race was lost the minute he decided to risk Bottas' life, after everyone else had already lifted.

Several posters commented that he would be out for revenge today and, to be fair to him, he absolutely screwed the person solely responsible for his penalty (a penalty the Stewards did their absolute best not to give him...just like on his illegal overtake).

Anyone noticed these last few races Bottas has finally caught up with Hamilton race pace wise, too little too late but bodes well for next season should it continue.
I'm not sure how many races Hamilton will have a badly damaged car for the whole race and be on a significantly slower strategy. But, if it's all of them then, yeah, Bottas won't finish more than ten-seconds behind him in most races.

I think Hamilton was poor at the start of the medium stint and worried they won't make it because he pushed like mad on his outlap as they anticipated Vettel would box the next lap, these tyres need breaking in carefully.
Agree on the second part, but why do you think he was 'poor'? He won in a slower car, on a slower strategy. Seems like he did...'average'?

The real question is what happened to Vettel? He seemed very comfortable in this race and should've won with little effort, even if his usual L1 T3 tyre-slice didn't quite work.

Earlier in the year Max showed signs of finally breaking out of his fathers mold, but he has again regressed.

Which is why some (including me) can see the talent but also the flaws that may stop him ever getting a WDC.
