Please, in the nicest way possible, get over yourself. Coming across as a child shouting 'look at me everybody' over and over again. Never seen a self claimed fan of a driver so joyous over their favourite driver having an off session, and pointing out their every fault and every opportunity. Very strange behaviour.

I'm having a bit of fun with a select few who jump on me at the first thing.

I'm pissed more than anything at his performance today.

Knowing how good is HAM on the H tyre (aka Hamilton tyre? ) and the fact it`s gonna be presumably a one-stop race, the main question is when he`s gonna stop for the tyre change? Sooner than expected like he did in Mexico or just go longer this time?

If you have the pace and know you can drag the tire out to the end, then you undercut everyone. Strategically just pit into clean air, rip out fast laps then when your competitors pit they'll be behind you.

The medium tires may make this a little more difficult if their performance has any sort of consistency. Then the leaders can just drag out their stint until the first gap appears then switch tires and go to the end. It'll be much harder to undercut a car that has little pace degradation.

If everyone makes it past the first lap cleanly, then it's going to be pretty much impossible for Hamilton to win this one. If there's a safety car(s), then who knows. Verstappen's only competition is Vettel and Bottas, in race pace he has their number, Hamilton is his main competition this round and he's ahead, as the Ferrari's won't be able to stretch their tires the way the RB can. That leaves Bottas, who very well could win this race, with the constructor's title sealed I doubt he'll be doing anything to help Hamilton. He may fall to the Ferrari at the start, if Verstappen gets ahead of Vettel he will definitely give Bottas a hard time.

If Verstappen gets a monster launch and leads into turn 1, it's race won, he has the pace and the skill to hold off anyone. Then again Hamilton may get a crazy Alonso like start and jump up a bunch of places, as could Leclerc. The start going to be a nailbiter tomorrow.

I thought it was clear in 2016 that Lewis sets his car up aimed more at the race than qualy. Nico often had the upper hand in Q, but Lewis was nearly always quicker in the race.

This is one of the Mercedes tracks as well. Only Mercedes poles since 2014. Vettel’s almost identical time is another sign that the Ferrari is significantly faster now than it’s been until summer break.

To be fair, Suzuka was Mercedes ground as well and we know how that ended up.

I certainly expected Ferrari to blitz everybody come Q3 like they are doing since Belgium.
Maybe they didn't use the trick this time due to scrutiny.

I think you're onto something there, I expected Ferrari to build a massive gap with that big straight.

Speed trap data may be interesting. Also when you look back at Japan, Russia ect, weren't Ferrari gaining 4-5 tenths on 1 straight alone.
