Yes, the only problem being that FI wont have the new chasis until february/march because the engine change deal was late and now they will have to start many things from scratchdelsando wrote:It's confirmed that Pedro de la Rosa will be conducting tests for a Force India Tuesday and Wednaesday. I think it because of the high nose, and the boxy end plates, that tend to cause majority of drag.freedom_honda wrote:"The car has more drag, so it is a bit slower on the straight." Robert Kubica
i thought with all the aero bits gone the new cars should have LESS drag not more?

Do F1 teams keep used engines or send them back to the supplier? Could that Ferrari unit end up being set to Mercedes by FI?Project Four wrote:And for the Mclaren Mercedes engine guysdelsando wrote:It's confirmed that Pedro de la Rosa will be conducting tests for a Force India Tuesday and Wednaesday. Yes, there were reports of this having to be done earlier in the year, mainly due to new plumbing of the cooling devices and anything that comes along with KERS. I believe it was Ross Brawn, or someone from Ferrari who mentioned it.vasia wrote:I suspect some teams will have to change the design of the sidepods, the engine cover, or likely both in order to package the system.
The Ferrari engine in the Force India car belongs to Ferrari. I'm 99% certain that Force India personnell are not allowed to dissasemble the engine, and at the end of today's test, there is a Ferrari truck waiting to pick up that engine and whisk it back to the Ferrari factory.myurr wrote:Do F1 teams keep used engines or send them back to the supplier?
