Disagree, keep all the different fuel suppliers in F1, require 100% biofuel from nonfood sources. I want ocean algae that eats ocean plastic and makes biofuel for my cars simultaneously.
Waiting for actual publication of the regs. But I'd think that is set on stone. Common sense ruling for me. With bop if everyone maxes the aero limits then at least that's actually equal and not a part of some performance matrix.
That would be interesting to see, but the large engine may be at a disadvantage. The power output is supposed to be limited to 750 hp, approximatrly half of the Chiron engine output.
But the Chiron makes 750bhp at about mid revs - whilst everything else is still getting in to their stride. The Chiron would be getting 750bhp at 4000rpm and then staying there. They'd have to map it to reduce the torque from that rev mark in order to keep the power steady at the maximum allowed. Assuming it's not traction limited - and being 4wd it isn't - it'll be f'ing quick out of the corners! It's an interesting thought, the Chiron racing.
Except the F1, of course, which had a some aero bits changed (the fan powered diffuser and the active rear spolier removed, a front splitter added) and a roll cage added but nothing else really. Won Le Mans on its debut.
But with the nicest bits of both left out. It's not a looker, that thing.
