Scuderia Ferrari SF90

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

We will see but i have a feeling that maybe it's not the Ferrari that had put the hand in the candy jar, let's wait.
You know, is not impossible that Ferrari told to FIA to do this to clear the sky and see if some other team that suddenly fly as matter the engine did something.

what investigation, what are they investigating, they are investigating as per who's official complain?
The FIA doesn't need an official complaint, They can tear a car a part on an FIA officials whim if they want to. For some reason it seems they have decided to have a look at Ferrari's fuel lines along with those of their customers, as well as one other unspecified team.

That's possible. A few weeks ago Binotto told that he would be happy their car to be investigated. Why would he tell that?

Agree that 'the FIA doesn't need an 'official complaint' and that 'they can tear a car apart' on an FIA official whim if they want to'. But the facts so far shows regardless the accusations pushed forward non-stop and one after the other. The only officially recorded fuel 'flow' infringements so far since the start of the new fuel flow formula that resulted in official 'disqualification' where three in number, and they involved two out of the ten teams on the grid and three of the four power units on the grid.

Ferrari ran the floor with and without the deflectors that push the air out.

Looks like it's still not clear if these are good or not. According to Merc they are just "aero porn" but add complexity to a very sensitve area.

For the record, on saturday both cars were with the deflectors.

But yeah Ferrari went back and forth on those more than a couple of times the last 2 years.

In Abu Dhabi-2018 race Mercedes were with the row of five pitot tubes, situated at the rear of the floor and ahead of the rear wheel. So they could legally run with those tubes during tyres testings after that race. Any information that shows Ferrari SF90 with additional sensors today? If they want to beat Mercedes in 2020, they need to be as smart as Merc's engineers.

What are the benefits of running such a configuration?

I haven't seen anything of the sort on any car today(including Mercedes), maybe regulations were ammended.

Trying to aid the upwash airflow from diffuser and RW for a very small amount of DF.
