So, pretty much the same as last year. Except that the top 3 will be much closer to each other, McLaren will be in no man’s land and haas will move up the order a bit.

I expect McLaren to be closer to the”big three” maybe challenge the tail end of that trio in the odd occasional race

Seeing as not even a wheel had been turned, maybe this thread should be called the 2020 wishful thinking pecking order

What I will say is that where there is smoke in F1, fire is usually to be found, so perhaps red bull will be faster than Ferrari and perhaps with McLaren snipping at their heals given their recent upwards surge & I don’t see Williams or HASS moving up the pecking order much, as not much has changed with their teams to suggest otherwise, but as for the rest I will wait and see what insights testing has to offer

1) MB/ RB, hard battle, slight edge for MB cause current champion experience.
3)Ferrari, not enough ready to solve the DF problem.
4)McLaren.

As the Edge says, it is wish listing until we see some action.
My thoughts for what they are worth, but in reverse

Williams. I can not see them making enough of an improvement to move on.

Haas, as they seem to know where the problem is. Could well be in front of the next two or even fighting with Renault

Racing point, who have 'politic difficulties' keeping the score down, but if they get sorted can easily jump to the front of this group.

Alfa Romeo and AT (or Toro Rosso) are secondary teams so depending on what the job spec is can do well or lose out to development for the boss team.

Renault and McLaren are intertwined with Mclaren depending on an effort from Renault to get them closer to the top 3.
They can expect some podiums, but I feel although much improved still not there with the big three. (next year maybe)

Ferrari, but who knows, they could have a blinder and take the honours, but I do not think so, just because of past years.
Even if they have the best car they still seem capable of screwing it up.

Red Bull, logical progression from last year, could well be in at the end but driver line up is not good enough for team scores.

Mercedes, what can I say? nothing is set in stone, but would anyone put more than pocket money on them not winning?

As I mention in my post though, Renault can have a huge influence on Mclarens results this year, especially as they know they are ending supply. They not only may not be so, erm ' precise ' as they would be or even take pains to ensure Mclaren know no more than they need to about the engine development.

I do not think they will do this, but then I did not think they would stitch up STR
