Racer has a good article interview with McLaren's livery designer. He says the black is there because of Arrow, so you can probably expect the MCL35 to have less black. And the linear patterns, like the design that separates the orange and black section above the Arrow logo on the sidepod, that's something you'll see carried over on the MCL35.
