Funny, the MC at the launch was talking as though it was the new car. Bit pointless going to all that bother for a livery launch that everyone had already seen and a title sponsor announcement that everyone had already guessed. I suppose BWT deserve their shindig, but I wish they hadn't pitched it as a new car launch

Well, even though it's not the new car, do have to say that I like that livery - finally delivers on the promise the BWT sponsorship provided of a solidly good new livery for the team (only for next year to change things again, but, the positive: this won't go stale like the Williams Martini one that was originally lauded, only to become boring after two years

So if this is, as seems likely, the RP19 with the 2020 livery on it (although a lot of people on Twitter etc are labelling it as the RP20), but RP billed this event as a new car launch, does this mean they're running late with their new car?

Isn’t that slightly different? The RP19 had the same chassis as the 2018 Force India and was a conservative evolution of it until the big ‘B-spec’ upgrade after the summer break. Or did they literally launch with a VJM11?

No, it was a VJM11 with a 2019-spec wing. The RP19 had a different tub and sidepods.
