yes i noticed that too! Have they overdone it on the packaging?
Or just safe mileage. Chassis data collection on the works team, engine data collection from customer teams.
yes, it just raises the question why more normal modes might not be safe. And then when they seemed to turn it up on the last day it went pop. Well now they have two days less to fix it than if they'd tested it to that level at the start, which is the point of testing, so i'm not sure either way
They’ve not turned it up.

I'm not talking party mode just normal race mode like their satellite teams apparently, i just read somewhere, BBC or somewhere. With Mercedes saying they'd been running lower modes earlier, for mysterious reasons . Have you seen something about what they were running?

Runing PU at lower levels remainds of Honda in 2015,2016 with their problems.

Super lap from Bottas, doesn't even look like he's pushing as well.

I only know from MtthsMlw that they used Mode 1 and Mode 4 throughout whole testing (if I understood correctly). Binotto told that they have not turned up at any time and have not done any performance runs, neither one lap nor race sim. Just different set up and configuration work.

Oh, well Mode 4 is their engine reliability mode apparently and Mode 1 is their top race mode they gave Seb in Canada to defend from Lewis. So if they ran 4 mostly and then 1 that fits with what Mercedes were implying and moi when i said it went pop after they turned it up. Hopefully it means they were only slow with running Mode 4 and then the blowup is something they can fix, as it must have been working on the dyno

True, engine 4 is usually the lowest they go during a GP but nowadays they can spend the whole race in engine 1 if they need to. It has almost been the standard mode last year.
It's only one of many power determining settings of the ICE though. The ERS is controlled by different dials.
Sebs engine issue was an oil leak according to motorsport Italy, he turned off the engine precautiously.

bottas vs hamilton.

bottas is using a higher engine mode. He's already 1 tenth ahead at the end of main straight. Unfortunately telemetry for bottas is unavailable, the signal went dead coming out of the pits just as he was about to do his lap. Coincidence? I didn't think so

That car is so hooked up. Do we have a RB16 vs W11 onboard comparison. Because I am not seeing how this car is not absolutely perfect. 0 corrections until he himself braked to late in sector 3.
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

Or maybe he was running less downforce, wasn't Lewis less than a tenth off in the first sector?
